Anniversary of Wycombe Environment Centre (2001)
May 17
The Wycombe Environment Centre was founded in 17 May 2001 by Frances Alexander and the steering group. After a large Biffa grant, they acquired a multistory building near the Rye Park, which opened to the public in 2003. In 2010 the charity had to move out, but found a new building in West Wycombe Rd a few years later. Finally, it moved to Chilterns Shopping Centre in 2014 and has been there (on and off) until today.
